The Chinese New Year Parade is considered Chinatown’s signature event. They do this parade right! With lion dances, cultural dance troupes, martial arts demonstrations, the Vancouver Police Department Motorcycle Drill Team, marching bands and more, this parade is one of the three largest non-commercial annual parades of Vancouver. The parade starts at the Millennium Gate on Pender Street at 12pm sharp on Sunday, then proceeds east along Pender, south at Gore, west at Keefer where it ends at Columbia Street. Plant yourself along the route and prepare to be mesmerized! Happy Year of the Rabbit everyone!
