If you’re looking for something different to do today, why
not go for a drive along the Sea-to-Sky
Highway and visit the Britannia Mine
Museum? This has always
been an entertaining and educational activity, and now with its $14.7 million
face lift, it’s prettier than ever. Enjoy a train ride through a dark and
(somewhat) scary tunnel, listen to the guide’s stories about the Mill and
pioneering life in general, and even pan for gold! Be sure to dress warm –
you’re going underground, after all, and it’s cold down there.
