Not the usual five star restaurant one generally experiences on Granville Island, Go Fish is as casual as they come. You wait in line to order, then wait again for them to call your number. If you’re fortunate enough to find a spare chair, you may sit to eat. Otherwise, you simply make do. Why do you do this? Because of the food! Their fish and chips are arguably the best in town. Some compare the service to that of the “Soup Nazi” from Seinfeld: you put up with unpleasant service because the food is that good! This of course is a bit of an exaggeration. Just know that you visit Go Fish for the food and the view – not the restaurant’s ambiance or fast service.
